Little Sprout Camp at Critterville Farm Sanctuary is a hands-on farm camp on Long Island for children ages 3–5, located in Riverhead, NY. Our nature-based preschool camp offers outdoor learning, farm animal encounters, gardening activities, sensory play, crafts, and creative movement in a peaceful farm sanctuary setting. Designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and connection to nature, Little Sprout Camp provides small-group, play-based experiences where young children can explore, learn, and grow through meaningful time outdoors on the farm.

Little Sprouts Camp at Critterville Farm Sanctuary is rooted in a simple belief: that childhood should be shaped by wonder, connection, and care for the natural world.
Our mission is to provide young children with a gentle, hands-on introduction to life on a working farm sanctuary—where rescued animals are treated with dignity, every living being is respected, and curiosity is encouraged. Through play-based learning, seasonal exploration, and meaningful animal encounters, we aim to foster empathy, responsibility, and a lasting sense of stewardship for the earth.
We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can slow down, observe, ask questions, and build early connections to nature—while learning what it means to care for animals, the land, and each other with kindness and intention.
At Little Sprouts Camp, we are growing the next generation of compassionate caretakers—one small, joyful discovery at a time.

Each morning at Little Sprouts Camp is designed to be calm, connected, and full of meaningful, hands-on discovery as children ease into the rhythm of life at Critterville Farm Sanctuary.

Little Sprout Camp at Critterville Farm Sanctuary offers playful, nature-based Saturday camp experiences for children ages 3–5 in a peaceful farm sanctuary setting. We keep our groups small and intentional, with a maximum of 15 children supported by 3 counselors for a 5:1 ratio, ensuring individualized attention and a safe, nurturing environment.
Join us for our camp days from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM at Critterville Farm Sanctuary. Each camp day includes age-appropriate farm chores, animal encounters, hands-on crafts, gardening, outdoor exploration, sensory play, and meaningful connections with nature through child-led learning and open-ended play in a peaceful farm sanctuary setting.
