The People Behind the Pasture

Ms. Jess

Welcome to Long Island Farm School — a family-run nature school where children learn through hands-on experiences with animals, gardens, and the outdoors. As a teacher, mom of two, and lifelong animal lover, I created this program to give young children the freedom to explore, play, and grow beyond the traditional classroom setting. Alongside my husband, who serves with the Sheriff’s Office, we’re building a community rooted in connection, kindness, and a love for nature. Here, childhood is celebrated with muddy boots, curious minds, and unforgettable farm adventures.

Ms. Amanda

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m so excited to join Long Island Farm School as an assistant teacher. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a passion for outdoor learning, I love helping children grow through hands-on experiences, nature, and play. As a homeschool mom, I believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, muddy boots, animals, adventure, and meaningful connections. I can’t wait to share that joy, wonder, and love of learning with your little ones on the farm.

Hi everyone, I’m Ms. Jenna! I’m excited to become a part of the Long Island Farm School herd this summer. I recently graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education and have spent the past five summers working with children at camp. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels valued while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a love for nature.
